Writing + Editing

If writing is not your forte, and you need help with formulating, structuring and writing and/or editing your new cookbook, food or factual book, I may be able to help.

I am a former BBC trained national broadcast journalist of 11 years, a published writer, media coordinator for the Koonya Garlic Festival, and the author of three internationally award-winning food books, including Australia Cookbook of the Year + Best Self-Published Cookbook in the World, 2017.

Website Design + Logo

If you would like your own website but don't know where to start, I may be able to help. I created this website using templates provided by Wix and then custom designed elements from there. I can either help guide you through this process, or design the website for you. I can also help design your new logo.

Recipe Curation

Choosing recipes for a cookbook can be overwhelming when you first set out. Having a good balance of recipes is essential for your book's success, as is the importance of the back story, not only behind the book itself, but behind each recipe.

Recipe Testing + Development

I can assist with recipe testing, recipe development, recipe writing, editing + proof reading.

Food Styling, Photography + Editing

Although I have styled and photographed images for all three of my books, including over a third of the images in my new book Winter Wild: a feast of dark delights, my photography and editing skills are still evolving. I am not quite a 'pro' at photography or editing using Adobe Lightroom quite yet!

I may be willing however, to take on small projects where I can work exclusively from home. 

​

Please note: whilst I can edit in Adobe Light Room Classic and CC, I do not know how to use Adobe photoshop, Illustrator or In Design.

Events + Exhibition Coordinator

I am one of the founding organisers of Tasmania's Koonya Garlic Festival and have been on the festival committee since the festival's inception in 2014. From 2014 - 2020 I was the Media Coordinator for the festival, and for the past five festivals Programme Coordinator. These are volunteer roles. 

​

Whilst a volunteer member for Out on a Limb, Tasmanian Regional Arts I coordinated and curated a number of small community art exhibitions, and one large touring exhibition called 'Out of the Ashes', following the devastating Bush Fires in Tasmania in 2013.
